Best all inclusive resorts in Mexico – Review

Although Cancun is probably best known for crazy spring breaks, we found it to be a perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, not so crazy that you can’t unwind, but enough to do so that you aren’t bored by day three of your vacation.

After a strenuous month of law school applications, a cross-country move with 2 cats and a dog, and a wedding, my husband and I really needed a relaxing honeymoon! We arrived at Le Blanc Spa Resort the day after we were married completely drained. That all changed the moment we entered the resort. Le Blanc just emanates tranquility, from the modern-minimilist decor, spa amenities and lounges, to the beautiful beach and infinity pools.

We were pleasantly surprised with the resort’s attention to service. Provided in the all-inclusive package is a butler service. Our butler came to our room shortly after we checked in and informed us that he was there to do the little errands for us that we didn’t want to do. He made reservations for all of our excursions and meals, prepared our whirlpool while we were at dinner, even ironed clothes for us. He also brought us our pillow selection from the “pillow menu” at nightthat’s right, I said pillow menuwe ordered the lavender and the chamomile.

The room was spacious, it had a comfortable bed, flatscreen tv mounted on the wall, large jacuzzi next to the balcony, and the showerwow huge with six showerheads with different temperature controls. The mini-bar was nicely stocked and we really enjoyed the after-dinner gourmet desserts that were delivered to the rooms every night. And whenever we came back at night after turndown service there was calming music playing, a very nice touch.

There are three pools at the resort, and all have a different good point. The main pool is where the action isand where the swim up bar is! Then there is a smaller infinity pool on the upper level that is a bit more private with the same beautiful ocean view as the main pool. There is also a lagoon pool that has nice garden landscaping and is quiet.

I can’t say enough about the spa, it is a must if you visit the resort. It is elegant and peaceful, filled with bamboo gardens, candles and water features. We enjoyed a couples massage there, and then relaxed in the hydrotherapy area.

They also treat honeymooners very well at Le Blanc. There is a special treat delivered to your room every day, a beach bag, bathrobes, wine, and flowers. They also host a very nice honeymooners dinner as well.

The location of Le Blanc is perfect. Close to the action of Cancun, and the beauty of the Riviera Maya. We enjoyed some adventurous excursions (posts will follow about them as well!). This resort is luxury, tranquility and service without a high price. A must visit!
