Museo della Fondazione Horne

This Museum was founded by Herbert P. Horne. He gave the Palace and his collection to Italy. The Palace was completely restored by Simone del Pollaiolo under instruction of Horne who moved to Italy to study italian Renaissance.

He loved Italian style and collected objects, fonitures and works of art. After the flood in 1966 this wide collection was rearranged.

It exhibits silver and ivory knife and fork, very original and fanciful domestic objects, Florentine paintings of 15th century and sculptures of Desiderio, Gianbologna and Bernini. The picture of Santo Stefano is a rare work as the collection of Italian ceramics of 14th century.
