Things to Watch Out For

There are some things to watch out for when looking for an apartment to rent, especially if this is one of your first rental properties.

Be on the lookout for scams at all times, especially when looking online. There is a common scam on sites like Craigslist where a scammer will pretend to be a property owner out of town (or out of the country) and will ask to do business without meeting in person. Never, ever, ever do this.
